English 2202 Whiteout extension activities Chapters 1-8
Choose and complete one of the following activities. These are not group projects. Complete all drawing assignments on 8X10” plain, unlined, paper. All written assignments must be a minimum of three paragraphs in length, contain full sentences and be written in formal language. This project will be started in class and completed as homework. This project is DUE FRIDAY NOVEMBER 8TH.
1. 1. The setting for chapter five is Calvin Arid’s company home. Using the description provided by Jon in the novel “Whiteout” draw, in detail, one of the rooms of Calvin Arid’s House.
2. 2. Using the description provided by Jon in chapter seven of the novel “Whiteout” draw, in detail, the Nanuvik school.
3. 3. Write a letter to Jon listing and describing in detail all the items Jon will need to spend the winter in Nanuvik. Use the information provided in the book to form your list.
4. 4.Write an article for a travel magazine that describes how Nanuvik looks and the culture of Inuit people.
